SCFU WE GOT NEXT PILLAR

We invest in the next generation of leaders.

Tomorrow's entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers are already here. At SCFU we create access, opportunity, and invest in their potential.

Through scholarships, entrepreneurship programs, and strategic partnerships, we help young leaders from under-resourced backgrounds build businesses, create economic opportunity, and lead lasting change.

✳︎ We Got Next

Supporting the Next Generation of Business Leaders

Economic empowerment begins by ensuring young people have access to education, mentorship, entrepreneurial experiences, and the confidence to pursue ideas that can transform their futures and strengthen their communities.

The We Got Next pillar exists to help remove barriers and create pathways for emerging leaders who are ready to build what's next.

Our Focus

Education

Supporting students pursuing higher education through scholarships and programs that help remove financial barriers.

Entrepreneurship

Providing young innovators and business owners with opportunities to develop ideas, strengthen entrepreneurial thinking, and gain real-world experience.

Leadership

Helping future leaders develop the confidence, network, and experiences needed to create meaningful impact in business and their communities.

NextGen Scholarship

SCFU’s NextGen Scholarship supports students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) who are pursuing business-related degrees and are committed to creating lasting social and economic impact.

Co-founders Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Dwyane Wade, and Executive Council CJ McCullom, Candace Parker, and Natasha Cloud developed the NextGen Scholarship to help expand access to opportunity while investing in the next generation of business leaders.

Each year, eight students receive a scholarship to support their educational journey while joining a growing network of emerging leaders committed to building stronger communities through business and leadership.

Pitch Black

SCFU is proud to support The Gray Matter Experience’s Pitch Black initiative, a business pitch competition that gives aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop, refine, and present innovative business ideas.

Participants gain valuable experience pitching their ventures, receiving feedback from industry leaders, and building the confidence needed to pursue entrepreneurship.

By creating spaces where ideas can be seen, supported, and celebrated, Pitch Black helps empower the next generation of founders and innovators.

Whether you're an educator, donor, corporate partner, mentor, or advocate, your support helps create more opportunities for the next generation of entrepreneurs and changemakers.

Together, we can build a future where potential is never limited by access.
